I’m home and recovering from a phenomenal week in Phoenix, AZ attending the Association For Creative Industries (formerly Craft and Hobby Association) Creativation show.
The show is a stunning meld of retailers, suppliers, manufacturers, designers and craft professionals all coming together to celebrate our shared love of all things arts and crafts. As usual, there were some fabulous booths and a truly inspiring display of creative ideas. I have shared some pictures below of just a fraction of the huge number of beautiful things on show.
I took some educational workshops that were generously sponsored by the manufacturers, and featured some very talented instructors. Among these were Crafter’s Companion, DecoArt, Kuretake ZIG, Chameleon Pens, Pébeo, and Faber Castell. I will be sharing some pictures and products from these workshops in the coming days.
This show marked the reveal of the CHA’s rebrand; the organisation is leaving behind the slightly dated look, and ushering in a new era of the AFCI. It’s all very exciting, and I’m sure we will see many new and innovative ideas streaming from them in the next few months.
All in all it was a great show where I met some talented artists and equally talented manufacturers. This industry is so full of ideas; it’s difficult not to be completely inspired.
