Having moved to Canada from the UK almost 10 years ago, I had to get used to certain differences between the countries as you can imagine. One that surprised me a little was that Mother’s Day is in May on this side of the pond, rather than March.
At first it was a little disconcerting, then I had a magic idea that I could be celebrated as a Mum twice per year! (But no, my Hubby put a stop to that – Father’s Day is the same on both sides, so he thought it was unfair..) Eventually I got used to it, and actually a May Mother’s Day isn’t so bad – my birthday is in March, and has coincided with Mother’s Day several times. I don’t want to give my family any excuse for not spoiling me twice 😊
I saw so many beautiful craft ideas for European Mums over this past couple of weeks, which inspired me to create this card.
